Hello
We called last week all the Animation studios of France. They are generally not in a recruiting phase as they are in the development stage.
Those who did not knew Katoonk, were pleased to learn of his existence and will use it soon.
Most of them use at first, the Resume database, which is why they ask you to put your demo real, not to choose to many work title and write down your resume on your profile.
When they post job offers, they would like to be read more carefully. It is useless to write them if your profile does not match the search.
A little more application from you and Katoonk will work like clockwork!

Katoonk has many projects to enhance and complement its services!
Our team is build by animation professionals incombent who are working on the website on their own time. We now want to make a big progess on katoonk so we will devote ourselves exclusively it for 1 month.
Katoonk site is a volunteer non-profit website, receiving no subsidy and in need of the mobilization of its community to survive. (Cover the costs of maintenance, technical development, administrative and communication work)

Recommendation of use:
- For security reasons, do not leave your contact information in your resume to download.
- Copy your resume into the field provided in a concise syntax to ease the research work of Hiering managers. (download the resume is an extra effort for them, incomplet resumes are simply left out.)
ex: year / number of working months / studio's name / title of the animated project you worked on / position you have held.
The avanced research on the resume database is looking into this field for the research by keyword. Thus it is possible to find out who worked on what series and what company to rebuild the team.
- Contact us when you change your email address as accounts with invalid e-mails are automatically deleted.
- To avoid wasting the Hiering managers time and give more chance for people really unemployed , thank you to frequently update your profile and report your actual availability.
- It is possible to classify the data lists by clicking on the header of the column. You can in this manner, for example sort the list of professionals by alphabetical order.

Site Opening katoonk.
Katoonk aim to become the preferred partner for all international animation studios .
I launched Katoonk.com in June 2009 to fill an obvious lack of transparency and organization in the sector. When I arrived in this community 3 years ago, the finding was:
• No structures able to respond to the specific problems of recruitment in animation.
• An Animation professional is looking for work 2-3 times per year on average. He is employed only for the duration of his spot in production.
• Animation studios often delay or cancel productions. They are mostly dependent on regional aid and advanced budget from program buyers (television channels) and at the end of production close, fail, and reopen constantly.
• The hiering managers are often not related to the studio and disapears at the end of the production with they portfolio contacts.
• With the advancement of new technologies, new types of positions are created regularly.
• New professionals without any contacts get out of Animation schools each year
• Track such a movement is impossible if you're not a part of it.
So I wanted to support both, professionals looking for contracts, and production studios looking for the right profiles often in a hurry. I wanted that Katoonk became international because it is rewarding to see what happens in other countries and our statutes allows us this freedom.
Katoonk became the only French site exclusively dedicated to online recruitment specialised in the trades of animation.
The objective of the site isto create a direct and fast link between professionals of animation and the studios, in movies, shortfilms, video games and internet. It is open to all trades that fall within this chain of production (writers, authors, graphists, storyboarders, production assistants, directors, animators, video editors, sound mixers, translators, voice actors ...) and all technics (traditional 2D, digital 2D , 3D, volume ...).
I set up this ergonomic, easy to use, free and effective tool, It's up to you to make good use of it :) More there will be professionals subscribing more the companies will post job offers and vice versa.
